I'm trying to start a blog, and don't even know how to use a computer correctly. Man, this is hard. It's like going back to college.I've been ruuning around like a dog chasing his tail. Shit, man, I just want to write. I have a lot bottled up. It's been 30 years since my mind felt this good. No alcohol. No drugs. My head is clear, and I wake up, and time has left me in the fucking dust. Whew! Need to quit sweraring, they tell me. Me, quit swearing,or you kidding? I'll give it the ole' college try but, no promises, O.K. Now, I have to navigate this fuc, wait a minute, I can do this, this , internet, yeah, that's better, right. It ain't easy, brother. I've been in a fog for a long time. TIME. What a word. Even TIME, is hard. I'm going to be 55 next week, and I feel like my mind is 16. Why? somebody open some doors for me. My little mind won't, or don't want, me to do this. It wants to go back to the fog. It's easier on the mind. Doesn't have to work too hard. Sits around. Gets lazy. I'm excerising muscle's that have been dead for 30 fucking years , and yeah, I meant "fucking" years because dammit, it has been. Who's fault is that? Mine, brother. But, I got a new lease on life, and I'm not letting go for nobody. Man, had to stop and get some coffee, calms my nearves. No, really. After all I been through, and believe me when I tell you, I've been through some shit, coffee is a zanex. Smoking. I'm trying to quit that to. No, not that too.! Man, I'm trying to run three blogs, quick drinking, smoking, and start writing, and my body doesn't work. It takes me three pain pills, a cup of coffee and 45 minutes, just to get out of bed. I'm not whinning. I do not whine. I'm stating a fact. This is hard. But, and don't you know, there's always a but, I'm going to do this. Back 30 years ago I could multi-task my ass off. I was GOOD> Yeah, that's right. I could operate. You couldn't keep up with me. You. Yeah, you mother', wait a minute, friend. I'm going to do this. If you want to take a ride, cuz, get on the bus, because it's leaving the station. OH, and buy a ticket, ass or gas, nobody rides for free!!!

Electrocuting Soldiers ( A Militaries Shame)

scannerman's blog

On May 20, 2009, The Nation, an admittedly liberal news source, reported that KBR, a subsidiary of  Haliburton, had just been awarded 80 million dollars of bonuses for work they have done in Iraq. These are the same people who are responsible for 19 deaths, and who knows how many injuries, to our American Soldiers. 19 soldiers died because they were electrocuted.19 soldiers were killed and wounded for work that was later said to be faulty at best. After first saying these were accidental deaths, the Army's Criminal Investigative Division (CID)  later ruled it negligent homicide. This is an outrage. It turn's out that, KBR, were using people from third world countries to do this work. To say they were unqualified is an understatement. Before being certified, they had to take a proficiency  test. How they passed was ingenious.KBR gave them the answers to the questions. It's kind of hard to fail, when you already know the answers.

Sgt. Ryan Maseth, a highly decorated 27 year old Green Beret, was electrocuted while taking a shower at a a U.S. post in January 2009. It also was ruled  negligent homicide.A month after the death of this brave soldier, KBR were awarded 30 million more dollars. Bonuses are suppose to be given for work of the highest quality, with no deficiencies. The work done by these idiots was never up to code.Eric Peters, a master electrician who worked for KBR as little as 2009, has said that over 50% of all buildings built by KBR, are below code. The Army was well aware of the shotty work done by KBR, yet continued to give these murderer's contract after contract.

While I have made my feeling about these two wars plain. I think they were the biggest mistakes since the Civil War.But these are not my opinion's.These come from the Army's own Criminal Intelligence Officers. Why, in God's name, would you keep giving contracts to people who have murdered your fellow soldiers.A Soldier goes out every day and puts his life on the line. You would think, when they get back to base, kick off their boots, and go to take a hot shower to wash the sand off their tired bodies, that the Army would at least give them a safe place to take a shower. How do you tell their Mothers, Father's,Wife's and Kid's, that your loved one was not killed in combat, the thing that they had trained for, but electrocuted in a shower by a company that hired incompetent  workers so they could save money on labor, and then reap million's of dollar's bonuses. No matter what you feel about the wars, I believe everyone loves the soldiers who place their  lives in danger everyday. Shame. Shame on the military for hiring on a no-bid contract, Dick Cheney's former company, Haliburton, who is ultimately responsible. The people who awarded these contracts should be court-martialed and let justice have it's day in the sun.

Welcome to my site ( with a turture rant)

Ny first post is going to be a little rant. I'm sorry, but alot of friends and I are trying to get the Bush/Cheney administration ivestigated for torture. For almost eigth years, we have been fighting two wars. A right one, Afghanistan, and the other , an occupation or a foriegn country that thad no part in the 9/11 bombings. This admin. has actually tortured people to confess to being a part of al-Qauda, when no such thing occured. Bush/Cheney came into office with an agenda. They were going into Iraq, at the slighted urgings of thier supporters. But, that is over. There is no going back and raising the women and children from the terriful deaths that those bombs and our military did. Do not get me wrong. My Father was an Army Lifer. I was an Army brat. I was in the Army when Vietnam was going strong. I love the military. But, the military does what it is told by the civilian government as per the Constitution. They are brave men and women who were sacrificed for what. Oil. Haliburton. Trying to kill Bush's father (41). Who knows? But we do know al-Quada had nothing what-so-ever to do with 9/11.

Now, we get to the "meat" of this rant. Torture. It is against the very fiber of this country to torture and murder people to get imformation. It's also aganist the Law. It's also against the Constituion the United States Of America. While I blame this on the Bush/Cheney administration, the majority of this blame is Dick Cheney and the CIA. Dick Cheney had his people almost moved into the CIA. He is behind the most vile things this country has been through since the Civil War. There's no part of this where he has not gotten a hand involved. A recent article said the for "plausible deniability"the President would be asked to leave the room when they talked about Torture. Great for him. But we can proscecute Cheney and His hitchmen for atrocities against the Constitution. I, along with Dennis Loo, Jason Leopold, and thousands of others have been very active in tring to at least have a truth commission, although a special prosecutur would be able to dig futher and faster than ten different Congrssional commitees.  A special prosecutor was appointed to investigate President Clinton, for a sex scandle, I believe Torture and Murder is alot more serious than Clinton's sex life.

Ok, end of rant. I want this to be a blog that you can write anything, barr nothing. I myself, am a short story writer who has been writing on Open Salon for about a year. The problem with any organization, it gets to big. People get greeedy, want to make a ton of money. I will not make a dime. I just like to write and read other posts. If you have a short story, poem, news item, or any thing that you think needs airing in a fair forum, I invite you to come and write to your heart's content. I have no trouble with bad language, as I myself, when on a rant, can let the cuss words fly. Come by, it can't hurt, and it's FREE.
